Rolls-Royce had high hopes with its 102EX Phantom Experimental Electric but currently has no plans to produce it in the near future. Apart from motor shows, he company has shown it to many current Rolls owners but hasn't been able to generate curiosity among them. As with all electric cars, the range is the primary reason why prospective customers are shying from the car. The car's current range is 160km to a charge but the high-rollers want much more than that.
Rolls-Royce is looking at hybrids as the new hope to address the fuel efficiency and emissions concern. With BMW already having that capability, we assume it is not long that Hybrid Rolls start rolling out in the open.
