Motorola Wilder available in UK next month

Motorola is one of the leading mobile phone companies in the world, and they joined Android bandwagon back in 2009 by announcing their first ever Android device known as Motorola Droid a.k.a Motorola Milestone. Motorola mostly devices are Android powered, they have announced a lot of high and low end Android devices. nWe recently showed you a leak shot of Motorola EX-130 which is a Brew powered phone and we told you that it will be out soon.

And today, Motorola officially announced Motorola Wilder which is actually the leaked phone we saw. It’s a good looking phone and it’s actually a low-end phone especially for teenagers. Wilder is a small phone but it offers a lot of good stuff. The device is dust resistant as well as splash proof too, and the device actually has two displays. First is the main 2.8-Inch resistive touchscreen display and the second one is a 96×16 pixel ticker display, which will actually show notifications. It has a 2 MP camera which is also capable to record video, 5MB of storage and also microSD support. The device also comes with some pre-installed apps.

The thing I really like in the Wilder is the price. It will hit Carphone Warehouse UK in July for only £49.95, which is probably an unlocked price of this phone. It’s a good device and it’s not a smartphone, it’s a just a low-end phone with some good features. Check out the promo video after the break:

BlackBerry Bold 9900 delayed until September

It looks like yesterday’s rumours were true, as the BlackBerry Bold 9900 has been delayed until September.

That’s according to BGR, which claims that ”multiple sources” have confirmed that the Bold 9900 won’t be launching until September globally. This matches up with Clove’s revelation, which suggested that the next-gen Bold won’t be coming until the end of Q3

Although we were hoping it was all just a rumour, it looks like the BlackBerry Bold 9900 won’t be seeing an imminent release – despite RIM‘s promise of a summer landing. The reasons for the hold up still remain a mystery, although we been in touch with the company for further information.

The so-called Bold Touch is the first of the RIM’s handsets to sport a capacitive screen, coupled alongside a full QWERTY keypad. Measuring in at 2.8-inches, the touchscreen display is also the first to showcase RIM’s all-new BlackBerry OS 7, promising a re-jigged UI, a boosted web browser, and BlackBerry Balance. There’s also a 1.2GHz processor, integrated NFC technology, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with 720p HD video capture, HSDPA and WiFi speeds, and 8GB of built-in storage with microSD expansion.

Nokia X7 pre-orders start in the UK, shipping before the end of June

The Nokia X7 is, as of now, one of the just two upcoming smartphones that will ship with Symbian Anna on board (the other one being the E6). While we can endlessly debate whether Symbian has died already or is going to die slowly from now on, Nokia has a number of devices planned for launch and those launches are happening. And, to be honest, it’s about time. There haven’t been many Symbian handsets released in recent months.

The X7 is now on pre-order at Nokia’s own online shop in the UK, with shipping promised before the end of June (yes, that is exactly as vague as Nokia’s shipping deadlines usually are). This being Nokia, please assume that means June 30. Even so, if you pre-order now you’re less than a month away from the magical moment when you’ll be one of the first people in the UK (and the world!) to hold a smartphone running Symbian Anna. That’s got to be worth something.

Whether or not it’s worth £399 is your choice of course. That’s how much Nokia is asking to give you the X7 SIM-free. You can also get it on Pay as you go for £369, or on a variety of operator contracts that start at £25 per month. In that case, the phone will be free.
