Upcoming cars expected to hit Indian roads in July 2011

As per the latest updates, Indian auto market is going to witness many new cars in the upcoming months. Sources have unveiled that Ford Fiesta will hit Indian roads in both of its diesel and petrol variants giving a mileage of 23.5 Kmpl and 17 Kmpl respectively.

Ford Fiesta is expected to give direct threat to the already established players such as Volkswagen Vento, Honda City, etc. Another upcoming car which is in lime light these days is Chevrolet Beat diesel, expected to be launched on Indian shores by this July. Relevant sources have speculated that this small car will mark the beginning of a new era in the hatchback segment as it is the first 3 cylinders diesel version hatchback car to ponder in this segment.

Chevrolet Beat diesel is expected to sport a 1,248cc multijet engine giving an excellent mileage of 24 Kmpl and its price tag is anticipated to range between 3-5 Lakh. Chevrolet Beat diesel is expected to heat up the hatchback segment giving competition to other small cars such as Ford Figo, Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia, etc.

Most awaited SUV, Force One is also expected to make its debut this July.

This SUV has created buzz in the Indian auto market as it is the first passenger car developed by Force Motors which is a known giant for manufacturing fast commercial vehicles. Force Motors India is all set to launch this car in July as is evident from the updates that Force One was spotted in Pune taking test drives, this SUV sported the new logo of Force Motors for the passenger cars.

General Motors' most awaited car, Chevrolet Beat Diesel launch is expected in Indian auto market by 2nd week of July. Due to the hike in the petrol prices, this diesel car is anticipated to cater large volumes.

Sources have revealed that this hatchback car will be powered by a 936cc, 3 cylinder engine procuring 57 bhp power at 4000 rpm and an excellent torque of 150 Nm at 1750 rpm. This car is expected to create a milestone as it is the first car having 3-cylinder engine, to be launched into the Indian hatchback segment. Furthermore, its engine is based on ECOTEC technology i.e Emissions Control Optimisation Technology making it environment friendly. There is also a buzz that this upcoming car will incorporate very smooth gearbox and clutch and will sport excellent NVH levels enabling it to attain an rpm upto 5000.

Other then this, an electric power steering is also on cards which is suppose to be used for smooth driving and parking. According to ARAI this hatchback car is expected to give a mileage of 24 Kmpl however General Motors India is eyeing to ramp this mileage to 28 Kmpl. Another car that General Motors India is mulling to launch is the revised version of Chevrolet Captiva which expected to hit Indian roads by October 2011. Sources have anticipated that new Chevrolet Captiva will be powered by a 2.0 litre engine.
