Airtel App Central : Most Downloaded Apps

Airtel has listed the most downloaded apps on the Airtel App Central for July 2011. The iSpyCams that lets you view popular webcams from all around the world and Kingfisher Calender 2011 which is the 7th edition of the award-winning Kingfisher swimsuit calendar are among the list. There are also unlimited short films in Indian languages and more.

The list of top apps on Airtel App Central include, IspyCams, IM plus All in One Messenger, Kingfisher Calendar 2011, SecureSMS, FridayMoviez, Kalia Rescue Mission, Translator plus, RockeTalk, FTV Calendar 2011, MobileCam Viewer Basic, Mig33, Qeep, Frogger and Snaptu

Airtel launches 3G services in West Bengal

Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 19 countries across Asia and Africa, today announced the availability of its 3G services in eastern India’s centre of business, commerce and finance —– Kolkata. With this, more than 3.6 million plus Airtel mobile customers across Kolkata will now be able to experience the Airtel 3G advantage and enjoy a host of innovative service capabilities including fast mobile internet access, Mobile TV, video calling, video streaming and social networking – at anytime, from anywhere. Airtel 3G services will be available for customers in Kolkata starting midnight on 4 August 2011. Airtel also offers high speed USB data cards that provide customers with 3G access on laptops.

Airtel International Video Calling


Airtel has launched International Video Calling facility for its 3G customers across India. This would let the Airtel 3G customers to connect with the people in 227 countries worldwide using the video calling facility on their phone.

Video call to USA, Canada, Bangladesh costs Rs 14/min and video call to UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Oman costs Rs 20/ minute. To use this facility both the caller and receiver must have a 3G enabled mobile phone with a front facing camera. We are not sure if receiver will be charged international video calling charges or local charges. Better check with the concerned local operator for charges.
