Google Marks Les Paul's Birthday with Guitar Doodle

All guitar aficionados rejoice! Today, Google has marked Gibson Les Paul's 96th Birthday with an interactive virtual guitar doodle which can actually be strummed.

On opening Google's search engine homepage you are greeted to the virtual guitar and on moving your cursor over the strings you can play notes and it is accentuated by a change in color.

If you are curious, Lester William Polsfuss or more commonly known as Les Paul, was an American jazz and country guitarist, songwriter and inventor. Les Paul was also instrumental in the development of the famous solid-body 'Gibson' electric guitar.

The 30th birthday of Pac-Man was the first time when the Google doodle had gone interactive on May 22nd 2010.
