Chevrolet Beat diesel launch inches ahead to July

General Motors India is an Indian tributary of American Multinational Automotive make a proclamation on the launch of all new Chevrolet Beat that its launch has been delayed to July, 2011 earlier which was about to launch in June 2011. As per reports, General Motors was going to launch Chevrolet Beat Diesel by June, 2011. In addition to this it is also reported that the recent strike at the manufacturing unit of General Motors is the main reason for its delay. Yet the company has not unveiled the reasons behind this delay.

Furthermore, speculations are made that General Motors India will send off the diesel variant of new Chevrolet Beat in the first week of July, 2011 due to the regular hike in petrol prices and a another rise is been scheduled with in next couple of days. Worthwhile the fuel efficiency of the Chevrolet Beat diesel is supposed to be more than other cars in this segment. Like Tata Indica Vista delivers an mileage of 25 Kmpl, then Chevrolet Beat Diesel expected to offer 26 Kmpl which is 1 Km more.


In the segment of hatchback cars Chevrolet India will be the India's most fuel efficient car. The competition starts and become tough when Tata launch its new hatchback car Tata Nano next year which is also known as a tycoon of small cars in India. As per sources $230 million is spend by the General Motors for the establishment of new diesel engine unit which have a capacity of 1.6 lakh unit per annum. In addition to this it is expected that General Motors is going to release six new cars in all car segments by 2012.
