Lenovo’s IdeaPad K1 to launch in September in India

Lenovo is all set to launch its next tab in the Indian market this September. The new tab from Lenovo will be called the IdeaPad K1.

IdeaPad will be completely Android based tab which works on Honeycomb 3.0 OS. Rumor has it, that the tab may receive an updated version of Android 3.1 or the latest version of Honeycomb before it reaches our country.


IdeaPad will be similar to that of US version of Lenovo tablet called the LePad. Some of its expected feature will be:
  • 1280 x 800 pixel display
  • 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • both front and rear cameras
  • it might come in a WiFi-only version
The spokesperson of the company has confirmed that the tab will be launched in September in India. But nothing has been said about its price. The international ads are saying that the price might come near $500 that comes to Rs. 22,500. The 32GB tab will cost more, as expected. It would come around Rs.32, 000 or more.
